Causes of Dark, Under-Eye Circles and What You Can Do about Them

Causes of Dark, Under-Eye Circles and What You Can Do about Them

Hi Friends today we will see Causes of dark, under eye circles and what we can do for treating them One of our biggest beauty bugbears is dark eye bags. While we know the best way to mask stealthy shadows with concealer, Raccoon eyes... eye rings... panda eyes… while the names may sound funny, if you have dark circles under your eyes you’re probably not laughing. Fact is, they make you look old and haggard. Well-intentioned friends may even be asking if you’re feeling sick or tired. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone - it’s the second most common skin complaint right after acne. Unsightly dark circles affect millions of people, but what’s the real source…and is there anything you can do to diminish their appearance? Here are the top ten reasons for those rings and what you can do about them.

  • Stress: "When you're stressed more blood is directed to your main organs leaving your face looking drained and pasty." This makes dark circles appear more noticeable. "Stress can also cause the fragile capillaries around the eyes to break or leak blood. The blood spreads out under the skin (pools) and becomes oxidized forming a dark purple hue. "
  • Fatigue: "A lack of sleep causes paleness of the skin allowing darkness under the eye to be more prominent and visible."
  • Rubbing your eyes: The thinnest area of skin on your face is around your eyes. "This is also the most sensitive part of your face and the capillaries under this skin are more prone to breakage and leakage" – hello purple reign, again. Message: don't rub or pull your eyes!
  • Wearing heavy frame glasses: "This puts stress on the delicate skin around eyes and causes broken capillaries."
  • Sun damage: "Sun damage to this fragile skin can, as above, leave capillaries vulnerable" and you know what that means – "breakage and leakage." Wear light-weight sunglasses in harsh sun and shield your eyes from unnecessary UV exposure
  • Thinning skin: Thinning skin occurs due to loss of fat and collagen. Those with fairer complexion tend to have thinner skin around their eye. Try products containing soy such as Soy Wrinkle Fighting Serum™ for a youthful glow.

3 Home remedies to get rid of dark eye circles.

·        Cucumbers Cucumbers are completely equipped to cure dark eye circles. Moreover, they are soothing and refreshing too. All you have to do is cut a fresh cucumber and then place the slices on your eyes for about 10-12 minutes. Repeating this process twice a day for a week would be beneficial.
·        Tea bags Placing cold tea bags on your dark circles is another powerful technique. Soak a tea bag in hot water for a while (green tea bags preferably). Now place it in the refrigerator to cool for a while. Now take them out and place them over your eyes. Repeating this on regular basis would cure your dark eye circles soon.
·        Rose water is a great item to use on skin in general — it rejuvenates and soothes skin. Additionally, it is a mild astringent that can work well as a toner. Rose water is great for eyes that feel tired.
1.     To use rose water on your eyes, soak cotton eye pads in pure rose water, then put them on your closed eyelids for 15 minutes.
2.     Do this twice a day for a few weeks.
While there are certain things you can’t change, focus on those you can. Eating a well-balanced diet, drinking plenty of water, getting enough sleep, and trying products specifically developed for the eye area, can all go a long way to rejuvenating your look.

  1. Scarless eyebag in Singapore is a way better solution for eye bags. That's why I prefer it compared to home remedies.
